Snowshoeing to Bechtel Shelter 4.1 Miles January 20, 2010 Elevation Gain180 feet
Sally and I drove to Gold Lake Snow Park and walked to Bechtel Shelter. On our arrival we found a picnic table, wood stove and plenty of split wood. As we sipped on hot coffee by a warm fire we looked down over a valley of snow covered trees as the snow softly fell from the sky. Seven other snowshoers found their way to the shelter and joined us inside near the fire.
